HVENS Cloud - compute, storage, connectivity, and a real DR story.
The hosted half of the catalog. VMs run on Proxmox in our Virginia and Maryland facilities. Tiered compute and block storage chosen independently. Private and managed public cloud object storage. Two paths to the internet depending on who you want running the firewall. Backups and DR baked into how the platform thinks, not a bolt-on.
The core HVENS cloud - VMs and the disks they sit on.
Compute Pool
Bronze, Silver, or Gold tier - same Proxmox VE platform, different underlying hardware generations and contention profiles. Sized to your workload, not to a fixed instance shape.
Linux VMs starting under $40/mo on Bronze. Windows adds about $9/mo per 2 vCPUs for SPLA on top of the Linux baseline.
Storage Pool
Tiered block storage - ZFS HDD for capacity, Blockbridge NVMe for performance. Sized in GB and chosen independently of the compute tier - pair however the workload calls for it. No snapshots-as-a-service game; you snapshot at the hypervisor level.
Starts at $0.10 per GB / month on Bronze; performance tiers scale up from there.
Two paths to the internet, depending on who you want running the firewall.
Both paths come with a Committed Access Rate bandwidth tier (100 / 250 / 500 / 1000 Mbps). CAR is a guaranteed minimum, not a hard cap - circuits burst above the rate as capacity allows. Bandwidth bills only for north/south traffic.
DIA - Bring your own firewall
Dedicated internet access with a routed IPv4 block (/31, /29, or /28) handed off to your firewall appliance. Your gear handles NAT, filtering, VPN termination, and policy. Run a Palo Alto, FortiGate, or open-source appliance as a VM on top of HVENS compute, or terminate to physical gear.
Starts at $110/mo (100 Mbps + a /31 IP block).
HVENS Gateway - Managed edge
An OpenBSD VM we provision, manage, and operate. NAT, basic L3/L4 filtering, IPsec termination, BGP-routed /32 IPs you can add and move flexibly. Available standalone or as an HA cluster. Optional ThreatStop add-on enables a feed-driven IP blacklist.
Starts at $230/mo (gateway + 100 Mbps + first IP). HA adds one VM; ThreatStop is one SKU per deployment regardless of HA or DR.
DR is a posture choice, not a separate product.
Once your VMs are backed up to Proxmox Backup Server, the data is replicating to our second site. That's Cold DR, and it's already part of the bill. Warm DR is the upgrade: we reserve compute and storage at the DR site for the workloads that have to come back fast, and we build the runbook with you.
Cold DR (included with backups)
Every VM disk that's in a PBS backup job is replicating offsite. After a disaster, recovery competes for whatever capacity is available at the DR site - data is safe, recovery time is best-effort, no advance planning is built. This is the default once you're paying for backups.
PBS backups start at pennies per GB / month, sized to source VM data.
Warm DR (selective per workload)
Reserved compute, RAM, and block storage at the DR site for workloads you can't afford to wait on. Choose Warm DR per VM or per pool - typical pattern is two or three critical workloads on Warm, everything else on Cold. Includes a written recovery plan we build with you; the planning labor is baked into the price, not billed separately.
Reserved capacity is offered at a discount versus primary, and sized to the workloads you're protecting rather than the whole pool.
Object storage - private on HVENS or managed public cloud, your choice.
Two paths to object storage depending on where you want the data to live and who you want managing it. Both integrate natively with Veeam and Proxmox Backup Server.
Stratus - Private Object Storage
S3-compatible object storage hosted inside HVENS on our spinning (HDD) tier. Data stays in our Virginia facility - same network, same operations team, no egress to a third party. Throughput is faster than public cloud alternatives for customers who are low-latency to us, and there are no ingress or egress fees regardless of how much data moves.
Priced per TB / month - no ingress or egress charges. Integrates directly with PBS and Veeam as an S3-compatible target.
Managed Public Cloud Storage (Wasabi)
We provision and manage a Wasabi bucket on your behalf - S3-compatible public cloud object storage without you having to manage the account, billing relationship, or integration. We configure the target, connect it to your Veeam or PBS backup job, and monitor it as part of the managed services relationship.
Management fee over Wasabi's per-TB rate. Good fit when you need public cloud durability without the overhead of a direct cloud vendor relationship.
The bits that round out a real cloud deployment.
Managed DNS
Authoritative DNS hosting per domain. We run the nameservers, handle change requests, and pre-stage DR records so cutover during a disaster is a record swap rather than a record build. Available standalone or alongside cloud services.
$5 / domain / month.
Managed TLS/SSL
We deploy and manage certificates matched to the use case. For standard domain-validated needs we use managed Certbot (Let's Encrypt) with automated renewal. For environments that need true wildcard coverage or organization-validated certificates, we source through GlobalSign. Either way, renewal, deployment, and monitoring are handled - not a recurring ticket you have to remember to file.
Certbot/LE $5 / domain / month; wildcard (GlobalSign) $12 / domain / month.
Licensing (SPLA & per-VM)
Windows Server, RDP CALs, SQL Server (Standard / Enterprise), Veeam Agent, OpenVPN. Bring your own licensing or rent through us per VM. Standby Warm DR resources don't carry duplicate license fees.
Sized per protected VM (or per vCPU pair, depending on the SKU).
Tell us what you're running. We'll come back with a quote and a plan.
Per-VM sizing, OS mix, expected number of VMs, whether you want managed edge or BYO firewall, and your DR posture - that's enough to get a real number on paper.
