HVENS - High Velocity Edge Networking Services - started as shared edge and management infrastructure for small Virginia ISPs. Today it's a multi-tenant cloud sold direct, through Richweb managed services, and white-labeled by reseller partners.
A short history
Richweb, Inc. was founded in 1995 and has spent nearly three decades designing and operating production networks across Virginia - including the architecture behind regional ISPs, broadband providers, and data center fabrics.
HVENS started as shared infrastructure for small Virginia ISPs - the edge transit, DNS, and management resources they needed but couldn't justify standing up themselves. In parallel, Richweb ran a growing managed-services practice: Windows Servers, domain controllers, line-of-business apps for long-tenure business customers. Two adjacent practices on adjacent footprints.
In 2023 we redesigned the HVENS network from the ground up as a modern multi-tenant platform - EVPN fabric, cleaner tenant separation, dual-site replication - and folded both practices into it. The shared ISP infrastructure and the Windows/Linux hosting now live in the same cloud, on the same operations team.
Today HVENS is sold three ways: direct to customers who want infrastructure without a managed-services wrapper, bundled into Richweb managed-services contracts where we run the workloads end-to-end, and white-labeled by reseller partners who put their own brand on top of our platform.
